Front Office Manager

Kai comes from Germany and completed the Höhere Berufsfachschule (HBFS) für Hotel- Gaststätten und Fremdenverkehrsgewerbe, where he graduated as the best student of his year.

After holding various positions in several 4 and 5 star hotels such as the 5* Falkensteiner Schlosshotel am Wörthersee, he has been working at the Grand Hotel Zermatterhof since December 2021, first as a receptionist and concierge and now as front office manager.

Executive Sous-Chef

Mirjam hails from the Emmental region of Switzerland and has participated in many cooking competitions. In the summer of 2021 she was the first woman to reach the Beef Club Finals.

In addition to her experience in the kitchen she is a seasoned service professional. She enjoys being close to nature and with her cheerful, positive disposition ensures great teamwork in the kitchen.

Apprentice

Xavier completes his training as a hotel communication specialist at the Zermatterhof. What he likes about his training is that he gets an insight into different areas of hotel operations.

In the future he would like to attend hotel management school in order to later open a hotel at his home in French-speaking Valais.

“I am starting my professional career in Zermatt because it is an international destination”
